It's been raining all day today...I was already feeling depressed and this doesn't help! I just went to visit Koda about an hour ago. He's all wet but happy. Gave him his grain and noticed that he might be getting a little chubby? I'm not sure. I will have to ask Sammy this week.
The last few days have been ok. Yesterday was nice so we rode outside. Practiced standing by the fence (parallel to the fence) turns, flexing, sitting the trot and loping. I can't seem to stick my butt to the saddle in the lope. I need a lot more work and sometimes it's so frustrating!! I did concentrate on my hand position and did better with that. I need a lot more work on using my legs in the trot and canter. I feel off balance and like if I use my legs he will just speed up...
After riding we played with the ball and he started to push it on his own. It's fun playing games like this!
The day before I went later in the evening hoping it wouldn't be busy, but it was. There were 3-7 horses in the arena and I get stressed and Koda gets stressed. I was tired and emotional anyway (didn't sleep good) so it was basically a waste of time. He couldn't concentrate, spooked at the cows, didn't want to sit still, etc.
Someday I might be a good rider...
